GeoVisions is looking for certified teachers to teach in China for 1 or 2 years. Qualified candidates will teach the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) A-levels and pre-A levels at any of eight centers.
These eight centers are:
- Sichuan Chengdu Foreign Language School in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province
- Middle School attached to Hunan Normal Univeristy in Changsha City, Hunan Province
- Changsha No. 1 High School, Changsha City, Hunan Province
- Middle School Affliated with Ren Min University, Beijing
- Beijing Luhe High School, Beijing
- Nanjing Foreign Language School, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province
- Xi'an Gaoxin No. 1 High School (Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province)
- Zhangjiagang Ivy Experimental School, Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province
As well as the A level program, set out by Cambridge University, each center also runs a pre-A level program intended to equip students with the study skills and English language competence required to successfully complete their subsequent A level courses. EFL tuition and IELTS training are ongoing throughout the three years of the entire program.
Students study at both AS and A2 levels respectively, as well as the pre-A level programs.
Every year the students are offered places to do further studies in globally well-known universities and colleges, namely University of Cambridge, Rice University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Melbourne, University of Toronto, Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine, the London School of Economics, etc.
While teaching begins in early September, it is highly desirable that academic staff be in the centers towards the end of August.
We are seeking professional staff intending to work with us for at least one year and preferably two years. This is a new and expanding educational area in China and there will be opportunities for career development and promotion within the organization for committed professionals with the required qualities and competencies.
