LIVE WITH A MEXICAN FAMILY IN MEXICO CITY AND IN MORELOS AND TEACH THEM ENGLISH 15 HOURS EACH WEEK.

GeoVisions' Conversation Corps in Mexico provides English conversationalists a chance to live with a Mexican family and teach them English.  Because of the close proximity of the "students" this will be an amazing adventure of living in your teaching environment.  This is a high-energy position.  The parents have been working all day and the children have been in school but you still need to come up with fun and enthusiastic ways to teach them English.  We provide the materials; you provide the personality to liven up a family class or dinner conversation!

This is also a great program for people who want to experience life in Mexico and the Mexican culture in-depth.  The program has a focus on cultural exchange and host families are not only excited to learn English but also love to share the characteristics of their amazing country, culture and cuisine.

Conversation Corps volunteers receive instruction on how to teach English, with specific activities for teaching English in a home to a family.  GeoVisions includes a 2-day orientation with tours in Mexico City. Transportation to the host family is also included.

Mexico is a traveler's paradise, crammed with a multitude of opposing identities: desert landscapes, snow-capped volcanoes, ancient ruins, teeming industrialized cities, time-warped colonial towns, glitzy resorts, deserted beaches and a world-beating collection of flora and fauna.

Mexico City is the political, financial and cultural nerve center of Mexico, and to understand the country one should spend some time here. Perhaps more than any city on earth, it is at the intersection of the first and third worlds, with all the ills, thrills and surprises that suggests.

The state of Morelos is like a little heart, beating in the center of Mexico.  Visitors to Morelos can enjoy exploring many different archaeological sites, the many ex-haciendas in the area and tourist attractions such as water parks, spas and restaurants.

Participants will instruct their host families in English, and must be native speakers.  They need to have earned a high school (secondary school) diploma or certificate, be in good health and abide by the family’s rules and habits. Placements are available year 'round and range in duration from one to three months. Participants must devote up to 15 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, for lessons and conversation.
