The Conversation Corps logo.Join the Conversation Corps. There are families who are hoping you will live with them and teach them conversational English.  They only ask for about 15 hours a week.  For this, you will receive a private room and 3, healthy home-cooked meals each day.

Depending on your schedule and location, you could use your free time to travel or take a language class, try a cooking course or write your first novel!  It's really up to you.  You will "meet" your family by email before you depart.  GeoVisions founded the Conversation Corps, so you're joining the original.  Going with the original also means a helpful text book, online worksheets, games and flash cards if you need them, and an email "help line" if you want helpful ideas and hints while you're abroad.

Conversation Partner logo with yellow background. What is the difference between a teacher and a Conversation Partner?  A lot!  Conversation Partners are placed with the "Tourist Police" to help officers with their English to better communicate with tourists.  They are placed with tour guides and tour companies.  Multi-national companies use Conversation Partners too.  Some Partnres go into schools, but mostly to help teachers and staff develop better English skills.  Travel and tourism schools also have a need for Conversation Partners.

Live with a family, in a dorm, or maybe a hotel.  The program includes a private room and usually 2 meals per day (Breakfast and Dinner).  It is an amazing opportunity for the more independent traveler who wants to immerse themselves in the culture and travel, and have a fun and rewarding experience all at the same time.

Not really into "conversation" as a way to travel?  That's OK.  Think medical projects in Cambodia, Costa Rica, Ecuador or Peru.  Be an EMT in Costa Rica and ride the rig each day.  Think providing hands-on care in orphanages in Thailand.  Conservation in Australia.  Wildlife conservation in South Africa or Mozambique.  And if you're interested in teaching in a school and getting paid, GeoVisions has that too.
