  • VITALS: blood pressure, temperature and weight of patients
  • Provide basic education through "Health Talks"
  • Visit bed ridden or immobile patients across Livingstone.
  • Provide basic advice, comfort and assistance to community members with little or no access to clinics or hospitals.  This may include first aid, discussions regarding the importance of hygiene, healthy diet and exercise, etc.

In the afternoon, it is possible to help in the local community (or choose to continue at the clinics):

  • Build, paint, refurbish schools and clinics
  • Elephant pepper project (seasonal)
  • Home based care/farming. This is visiting patients who may have HIV, TB, or malaria.  The volunteers bring medical supplies and help them with setting up farming initiatives, as well as actually helping on the farm.

Please note: The areas visited can be very deprived.  This may be a shocking experience for some.
