Delicious Thai cuisine. Playful puppies. Exotic elephants. These are just some of the things you will experience while teaching English in Thailand. Sure, you’ll also be busy with lesson plans and students, but GeoVisions believes in having fun while learning about your new culture. We’ve worked with our friends at XploreAsia to put together some amazing field trips for you while teaching English in Thailand. We recently asked some of our participants to share memories about their favorite excursions.
Hello! My name is Ashley; I am 23 years old and from North Carolina, United States. When I graduated from college in May of 2014 I just couldn't figure out what to do next in life. Even though I knew it wasn't what I wanted to do, I ended up spending the following year working a desk job. I worked in a wonderful office environment that was full of great people, but still the tedious 9 to 5 just wasn't for me at this point in life.
The famous Italian filmmaker, Federico Fellini, one said that "a different language is a different vision of life". Over a year ago I woke up with a restless sensation that was burning inside of me. I felt inpatient to learn Italian, a fourth language for me (after Spanish, my mother language, English and Hebrew).
Seek experiences, not things, seek culture, not just another bar serving frozen cocktails, seek human relationships, not just another good photo op and a clever hashtag.
