But that's not the BEST part!  The hospital where medical and pharmacy interns will practice on this medical internship in South Africa, is a five-hour drive from Johannesburg to Hoedspruit, a small rural town just outside of Kruger National Park.  You will live at a lodge that prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner for you each day and it comes with a driver who will drive you to the hospital each day and back again.  The lodge comes with a swimming pool and a deck where you can spot big game from time to time.

For three weeks this summer, Meagan was a camp counselor in Zululand, South Africa teaching ESL. GeoVisions recently conducted an interview with Meagan about her experiences. Here's what she had to say.

Volunteer, travel and citizen exchange leaders gathered in Miami last week at the WYSE Work Abroad Conference.  Exciting times with great meetings.  We had new meetings with partners for upcoming new volunteer Conversation Corps partner programs in China and Paraguay, paid internships in Moldova, and paid full-time teaching through Asia and the UAE.  We'll announce new programs as they come on line.

In the rural communities around Cape Town, South Africa, there is an immense lack of medical facilities, staff and resources. Volunteers can make a profound difference in the lives of people living in these surrounding communities of Cape Town.  Both medically trained and not trained may participate with this project.  The mornings are spent helping in the medical facilities and the afternoons are spent assisting in the local community. After a year hiatus from wildlife conservation, GeoVisions is back with two really good projects involving Lions and Cheetahs.  We took a year to do a lot of investigating and risk management analysis and have come up with two very good projects.  We want to use this post to introduce you to our new Cheetah conservation project.
