                    Overview

For Thai citizens, one of the best ways to secure an excellent post-secondary education or to qualify for a better job that will help their family be more secure in life is to learn English. It has become a necessity. And that's why The Cultural Exchange Project needs you to teach English overseas in Thailand. But this particular program is run during the summer months of July and August.

If you are a current classroom teacher, or if you have just graduated from university with a Bachelor's Degree and you want an amazing paid experience for 7-12 weeks this summer, this program is especially for you.

Go beyond the beaten path and experience Thailand the way no tourist ever could. Thailand is known as "The Land of a Thousand Smiles." Teach in Thailand this summer and find out why.

                    • Pay a $350 deposit, a $500 placement fee when you're accepted, and then a final amount of $849, 60 days before departure.

                    Included

                    • An experienced U.S.-based Cultural Exchange Project Manager who will serve as your coordinator and liaison with our in-country staff in Thailand.
                    • Professional, locally-based staff to orientation, supervision, and guidance throughout your stay.
                    • One week of in-country orientation before you start your teaching job with some tours and practice teaching included. We pay for the week of accommodation.
                    • Included in your week of orientation can be Muay Thai lessons, a cooking class, basic Thai language, a market tour that helps you learn how to buy local items, a BBQ on the beach, a visit with a Thai monk to learn more about the Thai culture and some practice teaching.
                    • Important documents, including in-depth pre-departure packs, orientation information, and all in-country informational materials.
                    • We will have arranged accommodation for you before you arrive at the school. You only have to pay the rent, which you can easily do from your salary.

                    • Pre-departure support from our offices in Thailand.

                    • That’s twice what a local Thai teacher earns.
                    • Our placements range from Kindergarten to elementary, middle, and high school.
                    • The contract will typically state that you need to be at the school from 7 am until 4 pm or 8 am to 5 pm.
                    • Teaching hours will be between 18-24 per week. Many schools might let you leave a reasonable amount of time after your last class (2:30/3:30 pm) but that is dependent on the school.

                    Requirements And Qualifications

It is a rarity in our industry to see a salaried short-term teaching position. There are more opportunities to volunteer teach, but few to be an actual professional teacher. This is a truly unique program!

To qualify, you'll need a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree. We love when current classroom teachers participate. You can also be a recent college grad and no, you don't need an education degree.
